Imafidon's path wasn't always straightforward. At 18, he was arrested and charged under the controversial "joint enterprise" law, with the murder of Sylvester Akapalara, a 17 years old boy who was a year below Imafidon at college. Despite a lack of direct evidence, he spent six months in jail before a judge ultimately dismissed the case. This experience fuelled his determination to fight for justice and create positive change.

Following his exoneration, Imafidon pursued his academic ambitions, winning the Amos Bursary to study law at BPP University. His passion for social justice soon led him to co-found ClearView Research Ltd, a company dedicated to research, strategy, and engagement projects that focus on diverse and underrepresented communities.
